Three things I adore about now, early fall, are
stepping just outside my back or front doors to be greeted by any one of these~ The grapes are sweet and aromatic, calling you to the arbor, way before you even glimpse them.
The lanterns are close by, growing up on an old chair.
And my husband wastes no-time, making a fire in one of the fireplaces we have in the yard, on a cooler fall morning like today. He draws me outside with the smoky smells, for a sit
and coffee with him~

Made me go out and look at our grapes. Our fruit won't come until May/June/July... I like the idea of coffee around the fire pit! Something to look forward to this winter here. Thanks!
Mmm...grapes. Are they as yummy as they look? The lanterns are so pretty! I've never seen any around here.

KK-Thanks for visiting my blog. This is such a big state--your friend in Rockwall is 10 hours from me! North Texas is very different from where I live...rolling prairies, big urban cities with suburbs, shopping malls. If he is an outdoor person, tell him to explore the hill country (where I live) when he gets the chance.
Oooh, grape leaves, too? Now I have to hunt for recipes (Lebanese cooking?).

Hi there I have just found your blog and wow its great. You have some beautiful photos. I thought I would follow your blog as I ride a paint mare called Trixie .....and saw you had the same as a child. I also came to Oregon from New Zealand on an exchange for part of my senior year at High school
I LOVE Chinese Lanterns...and of course grapes...and heck I always welcome a warm fire! :) What a sweet hubby.
