Monochrome Monday

While waiting for my husbands flight to land at PDX I snuck a couple pix in..I had to sneak my way over to these really awesome Driftwood creations. I have gotten in trouble before with my camera in subways and airports...they don't want any secret documentation by people meaning to cause harm in the future. NOT I, just some pictures for todays fun.

  1. A wild work of art - just up your street, I think. Makes a good mono.

  2. A strange kind of beast - animal or vegetable? :-)

  3. These driftwood horses are all over the place. They are beautiful and very expensive! The artist(s) have done a great job with the anatomy of every horse created.

  5. Wonderful sculpture, so creative. Co-incidentally, I saw a woman on TV the other day who makes these......and sells them for HUGE sums of money!

  6. It's really amazing what people can put together, and with so much tender thought!

  7. These driftwood sculptures are amazing. I don't know how the artist manages to do them. I did see an article somewhere on all the sculptures, they were so life like and were set up along beaches and paddocks etc... Good pictures, glad you didn't get in trouble this time.

  8. What a neat creation. A wooden horse. I like it. It's very unique. I saw some horses yesterday and thought of you so I took a picture and made a post for you. Hope you like it. http://vibrantvista.blogspot.com/

  11. LOVE the driftwood horses. Amazing how random pieces of wood can end up as a horse.

  12. I would have crawled over hot coals to get those shots. I've never seen anything like it, very cool.

Your longhorn shots below are amazing. They look like gentle giants and you are WAY braver than me to get that close. Glad you only got slimed ;-)

  15. Looks interesting, indeed, and perfect for monochrome - but also a little scary. Might it come back at night to haunt one?

  16. That is pretty clever. I like you picture too. I'm always amazed at how gifted some people are. I hope you didn't get in any trouble taking this picture. I've been stopped and questioned before for taking pictures. Some people are such Barney Fife's.

  17. Huh? I take my camera to the airport all the time. I guess I just look like the tortured artist type so they leave me alone. Very cool sculpture!
