Shadow Shot Sunday Sniff

We found some rather large boulders while riding the Mountain area a few weeks ago.
My mare reached out and sniffed her shadow mare!

  1. oh, i love that last shot of the shadows against the rock. beautiful.

sadly, i am deathly allergic to horses. which is strange because my father grew up with them... and yet i can't go near them. he really wanted my sister and i to have our own horses, but it just wasn't meant to be :(

still, i can gaze upon their beauty!

  2. Great pictures Kacey! I love Wa sharing snuff with her shadow!

Thank you for the kind words you left on my blog today. You are a great friend who I hope God works in a way for us to meet.

  3. Hello! So nice coming by and visiting with you! I have perused everyone of your posts to the end of this page and have enjoyed getting to know you a bit.

I know very little about horses so it has been especially fun to view your beautiful pictures. When I was a kid, I remember my cousin having horses and we would ride whenever together. But that was many moons ago.

The double shadow picture is awesome. And I think it is so cool that your horse recognized a horse shadow. My dog likes to go nose to nose with his reflection in a mirror or even the glass door of the fireplace stove.

Well, thank you for stopping by my place and leaving your comment.

    Kindly, ldh

  4. Cool shadow shots. I keep trying to get one of my cat but he won't stand still that long.

  5. Excellent! I love shadow shots and have taken many.

  6. I enjoy the differing colors of the light in these shots as well as the shadows. Your mare seems to think she's found a buddy!

  7. Very interesting shots. Love shadows in photos. Great job.

  8. Great shadow shots Kacy!
Snow has been melting all day! Yippee!!!

  9. Oh how sweet! That second one is delightful! I love horse riding but haven't been for years. Have a great week!

  10. Nice capture. You have a beautiful horse, even her shadow is pretty!
I like fence shadows, and fences, too. I just haven't found a meme for them! Maybe I'll have to improvise...

  11. what a great picture, I must get in to the habit of taking a camera with me out riding. your photo records of being out and about are great.
